About the Practitioners

Abbie Mercurio

Abbie Mercurio is a Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture(National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine - NCCAOM) with 19 years of experience in healthcare. She received her Master of Acupuncture from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Florida.Ms. Mercurio is licensed in Florida and in North Carolina.She has extensive training in Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Years of training and experience enable her to practice CranioSacral Therapy at the advanced levels. Her approach to Acupuncture, combined with CranioSacral Therapy, maximizes the benefits of both and provides a strong foundation for health and well being.

In addition, she has served as a member of faculty at the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in Sugar Grove, NC where she has taught and supervised senior students preparing for professional practice in Acupuncture.

Ms. Mercurio is also a Licensed Massage Therapist (NCBTMB) and a Reiki Practitioner. She respects that the relevance of each method she practices in her clinic (see below) is based on the individual needs of each client.

Ray Mercurio

Ray Mercurio is a Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture(National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine - NCCAOM) with 19 years of experience in various holistic health care modalities. He graduated from a rigorous, post-graduate four year program at the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in Sugar Grove, NC.

His years of training and experience have also enabled him practice CranioSacral Therapy at the advanced levels. When Acupuncture and CranioSacral Therapy are blended together there is a synergistic effect which provides an opportunity for the body, mind and spirit to heal and balance.

Ray is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Reiki Practitioner. The following therapies are utilized depending on the individual needs of each individual client.

Philosophy

Both Abbie and Ray believe that the role of a health care practitioner is to partner with each client, listen carefully, and thereby determine and apply the best methods for restoring balance in the body, mind, and spirit. Each brings experience, dedication and focus to the practice. Their goal is to identify individual needs and specific imbalances, restore health and prevent disease. Both enjoy a clientele of engaged and like-minded individuals, committed to improving their health at every level.
